In a ranking of favorite 1970s pornstars, for us Brigitte Lahaie is at the top of the heap (probably tied with Annette Haven). Fabulous body with a perfect rack, and a very French charisma combined with a certain je ne sais quoi make her stand out from the crowd. While known more for her films (of which we’ve got a couple in our collection), she also can be found in a number of excellent erotic photos from the era, both softcore and pin-up styles and more explicit classic hardcore sets.
Ooh la la, indeed.
Continuing our Legends of Pinups theme from the Bettie Page post last week, here’s another renowned lady of the nudes – Joyce Gibson. Also photographed under the nomme de guerre Joyce Mandel (among others), she had one of those splendid combinations – a slender lithe body paired with curvy hips and one of the more magnificent pairs of buoyantly buxom breasts known to man. She was very active posing for girlie magazines throughout the 1970s, then after a hiatus returned in the 1990s as a voluptuous Lady Of A Certain Age. Not to be overlooked are her sensual lips, eyes like deep pools of mystery, and a lush black thatch between her thighs of the most powerful allurement!
This photo is from a magazine shoot for a small-scale skin mag in 1972 or 1973 (the name escapes me at the moment), part of a nice sized collection of hers we just acquired. Hope you enjoy, she’s one of our favorites here.
Bettie Page in fishnets and boots, ’nuff said.
Figured this glimpse of lush fertility was a nice antidote for the doldrums of February – outdoors nude amidst a meadow of wildflowers and citrus trees. Petite yet shapely! Circa early 1960s, most likely in Southern California as it’s got that Spiderpool look about it.
This one is from a great little vintage XXX booklet we just came across, featuring a lot of nice candid & raw sex shots (including a large number of well-executed closeups). Many of the girls really seem to be enjoying themselves. Just now have digitized them all and done the restorations, so they’re in the queue for posting later this month – enjoy this sneak peek!
Circa probably 1968 or 1969, publication was SoCal but it’s possible the images themselves came from across the pond.
